QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Do I need to be referred by my GP?  No.  Your GP might refer, but you but you do not need to be referred.  You can book directly.

Can I park close to the clinic?   Yes.  As the clinic is not based in the town centre you are able to park outside the clinic and therefore do not have to leave home/work early to keep your appointment on time. (see Location).

Will I have to wait around for my appointment?

I have excellent time- keeping since I do not like to keep patients waiting.  I leave sufficient time for patients and time in between patients for this to happen.

How long will a treatment session last?  First appointments tend to last for between 45 minutes to an hour and follow-up sessions last between 30 to 45 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?  Usually a course of treatments are required.   It is impossible to say how many, but after 2 to 3 treatments most injuries will have a positive response to the treatment.

When can I be treated? Treatment can start 48 hours after injury. An injury before this time should be treated by Rest, Ice, Compression & Elevation, or a visit to your GP.

Is the treatment going to hurt me? No, gentle techniques are used.

What should I wear? Your normal clothing or shorts if you feel more comfortable. You will be covered in towels during treatment and only the area being treated will be exposed.

How much will it cost? The initial treatment and assessment is £27.00. For subsequent treatment for the same injury £25.00 per treatment.             **club price by arrangement**

Will I be able to claim back on Medical Insurance? Please check with your own medical insurance.  Uusually,  if you are having lower limb treatment you will be able to claim expenses with medicash and HSA under the podiatry/chiropody heading for which I will be able to give you a receipt.
